Sarah Muirhead is a young Scottish artist living and working in Edinburgh. Her fascination with flesh, voyeurism and counterculture has led her to creating a strong body of work using the resculpting of the human body and the relationship between the subject and viewer as a starting point to make strong memorable works.
For her new show at LATA, Sarah has examined and painted objects and body parts which have been altered in some way by the ravages of time, injury, deliberate modification or the impact of their environment to create 20 new small paintings that investigate deeper and more strange aspects of the human condition.
